verandah at 3 trees

Three Trees at Spioenkop is where the story of the Anglo-Boer War (1899 - 1902) unfolds in a stunning, secluded environment on the foothills of the northern Drakensberg Mountains. The intimate lodge - constructed to resemble the wood and corrugated iron materials of colonial Britain in the 19th Century - overlooks the battlefield of Spioenkop. This is where the bloodiest battle of the War took place. It adjoins the Spioenkop Nature Reserve, home to white rhino, giraffe, zebra and numerous other animal species.  Enjoy walks, hikes, horse riding and historic battlefield tours.
