Overview:

This scheduled, escorted, safari expedition is an exhilarating adventure through the wildest areas of Botswana. Spacious en suite safari tents with crisp linen-adorned beds and refreshing bucket showers provide all necessary luxuries while offering an authentic ‘close to nature’ experience in some of the continent’s remotest wilderness areas. The Okavango Delta, Moremi, Savuti, Chobe, the Victoria Falls and evening meals around a camp fire under the African stars - this is safari at its very best.

Itinerary:

Day 1 & 2: Okavango Delta FI
Upon arrival at Maun International Airport board a light aircraft bound for the Okavango Delta. Explore the crystal-clear channels, islands and waterways of the delta by mekoro (dug-out canoe) and enjoy game-viewing walks on the islands. Two nights of bush camping in a private concession bordering the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, with camp staff on hand to cater for your every need.

Day 3 & 4: Moremi Wildlife Reserve FI
Another short flight in a light aircraft brings you to the North Gate region of Moremi, rated by many as Africa’s most beautiful wildlife sanctuary. Spend two days game viewing and exploring the surrounding wilderness on extensive game drives. Two nights of bush camping in the reserve.

Day 5 & 6: Chobe National Park – Savute FI
Moving north through big game country you come to Savute, an area renowned for lion and other predator sightings. Huge animal concentrations are attracted to the permanent watering holes here in the dry season. Two nights camping next to the dry Savute Channel.

Day 7 & 8: Chobe National Park – Serondela FI
Continue along sandy 4x4 bush tracks to northern Chobe for two more nights of bush camping in an area that is renowned for its varied bird and animal life, beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets.  Serondela is also the heart of elephant country. Sit back and watch the huge herds that congregate around the waters of the Chobe River on game drives or private boat cruises.

Day 9: Victoria Falls FI
A short drive over the border and into Zimbabwe brings you to the Victoria Falls. After a tour of the spectacular waterfalls settle into your spacious suite on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River at Matetsi Water Lodge and search for the abundant local wildlife on afternoon and morning game drives.

Day 10:
After a breakfast overlooking the Zambezi, you will be transferred to the Victoria Falls International Airport in time for your onward flight.

• Meet  and Greet at Maun Airport
• Seat on charter aircraft: Maun / Okavango / Moremi
• 4x4 vehicle transfers ending at Victoria Falls Airport on day 10.
• Double / twin / single tented accommodation (final night lodge accommodation)
• All meals – from dinner on day one to breakfast on day ten.
• A reasonable amount of bottled water, local wine, beer and soft drinks
• Waterborne/game viewing activities while on safari
• Morning and afternoon game viewing activities at Matetsi Water Lodge
• A tour of the Victoria Falls – including entrance fee
• National Park entrance fees while on safari (except at Matetsi Water Lodge)
• Domestic airport tax within Botswana
• Emergency medical evacuation insurance
• A personal travel journal including highlights of your itinerary
